Vapiano

Cuisine: Italian

Best for: Relaxed Dining

Vapiano is a relaxed Italian eatery located just around the corner from The Dominion Theatre in St Giles Square. Expect a laidback, welcoming atmosphere. The food is made fresh to order, so give plenty of time if you are looking for a pre-show meal.

Dalloway Terrace

Cuisine: Modern European

Best for: Upmarket Style

Dalloway Terrace is the place to go if you are looking to treat yourself to a dining experience in an elegant and ornate setting. Located in The Bloomsbury Hotel just around the corner from The Dominion Theatre, Dalloway Terrace offers a Pre-Theatre Menu between 5 and 7pm for groups of up to six. At time of writing (November 2023), the 2 course pre-theatre menu was £34 per person, with 3 courses £38 per person. Both include a glass of sparkling wine! 

The Black Angus fillet steak is an excellent choice, but does come with a £20 supplement.

TCR Falafel

Cuisine: Street food

Best for: A quick option

TCR Falafel is a tasty option for diners in a rush. Offering falafel, chicken and halloumi options, TCR is a favourite for locals and tourists alike. Make sure to go before the evening showing, as the streetfood kiosk shuts at 8pm and you would not want to miss this.

VQ Bloomsbury

Cuisine: Mixed

Best for: 24 hour dining

If you’ve been to a rather late and long show and are worried that all the local restaurants might be closed, fear not! VQ Bloomsbury is the restaurant that never sleeps. The menu changes throughout the day, with a diverse night menu offering affordable options such as fish and chips, chicken and waffles and chicken milanese. 

As well as a large food menu, VQ offers wines, champagne, beers, ciders and cocktails between 8am and 2am Sunday to Wednesday, and 8am – 4am Thursday to Saturday.

Hot food is prohibited, and there is a strict no glass policy inside the auditorium. All drinks purchased from the bar will be transferred into plastic cups if taken into the auditorium. Snacks are allowed within the auditorium, and are sold in the foyer.

The nearest tube to The Dominion Theatre is Tottenham Court Road.

There are many options along and nearby Tottenham Court Road, as well as the nearby Shaftesbury Avenue.

On the whole, yes you can bring your own food to the theatre, although those theatres will insist no hot food is brought onto the premises as this can be smelly and annoying to the guests around you.
